Amazon's solution to their Soviet inspired anti-business taxation is to take their ball to pro business states like South Carolina thus destroying the government expanding tax schemes of those anti capitalist states. When California tried to do a tax grab on Amazon it backfired on the liberal legislators because not only did they lose the shakedown money, they lost the entrepreneurs and money that supported the out of state affiliate sales thereby accelerating the financial collapse of their state's empending bankruptcy.

On a national scale, when the U.S. government forces more taxation and regulations on domestic entrepreneurs, they simply go overseas creating prosperity in other countries while destroying jobs in America. Obama is the poster child for this with his raids on small farms producing raw milk and Gibson Guitar for finishing exotic woods in America. Even 8 year old girls with lemonade stands are under unprecedented attack by the Obama Administration's policies. We are well on our way to becoming a third world country.

Nikki Haley doesn't support Amazon's move to California, but she hasn't stopped it. Governor Haley ran on a Tea Party platform, but now that she's in power, it looks like she's becoming just another phony politician that wants to expand government and squash the little guy. By the way, it's been over two weeks since I asked about Nikki Haley's position on this matter and she nor her staff have bothered to respond to me in any way and I voted for her.

Obama and his Czars (more than Russia) are trying to block South Carolina from bringing in non union jobs at a Boeing plant. In the last 30 years, unions have destroyed manufacturing in America and forced jobs overseas. American unions want more and more benefits for producing less and less and can't compete on a world market. American unions produce inferior products and are the epidemy of fat lazy entitlement demanding Americans. Every industry they touch becomes a graveyard like Detroit, MI. I've never purchased an American car because as I teenager I noticed my classmates that had them suffered with repair bills galore while my Toyotas and Hondas just kept running nearly maintenance free. American union produced cars rattled as they chugged down the road. Their Delco radios sounded like something made in the 50s and were always missing knobs and door handles. This become obvious when Obama gave billions in bailout money to US car manufacturers while Toyota and Honda's American plants continued to thrive. Jeez, when foreign companies kick the butts of American Labor Unions on our own soil, it can't get any more obvisou that unions are like a black hole on the economy.Yet, they protest like an angry mob when you shine a light on their shame.

I was a public school teacher and I saw first hand how the main purpose of the Teachers Union was to increase their pay and reduce their teaching standards while public school grades and testing became the laughingstock of the world. Anyone that is pro Teachers Union is a selfish anti student slob that is destroying our future in America. If you support unions, you have become part of the problem, not the solution. I have never seen an exception to this rule (UPS of all the unions seems the least offensive). It makes me sick when they say that our declining scores are because we don't pay teachers enough when we pay them more than any country in the world.

I met J.J. Purpura in an architectural drawing class at Gainesville High School due to a small personal crisis. Our teacher was very passive and I quickly learned I could do my work in 15 minutes then ditch the class leaving our instructor unaware that I was gone.

When I returned at the end of class to collect my drawings and store them till the next day after a 30 minute recess, I noticed someone had drawn a stick figure on my plans. I voiced my frustration out loud and immediately looked around to find out who looked guilty. For some reason I focused on the wrong person, J.J. Purpura. Somehow through my misunderstanding and accusation, we became friends. I certainly had the lower hand in this narrative.

Around the time we were graduating, we became such close friends that we shared about anything one could imagine.

One thing we shared was a passion for music with heart. One such artist was Todd Rundgren. J.J. had called me saying they were going to be at the Great Southern Music Hall in downtown Gainesville, FL and we bought tickets. Todd Rundgren & Utopia blew our minds for two hours then concluded with a final set and opened up for a little audience interaction. J.J. and I went right in front of the stage and shook hands and high fived Todd as he was singing his closing classics. We all felt as one.

I got a call a couple of years ago from J.J. saying that Todd Rundgren was going to be playing in downtown Tampa and asked me if I would I fly down from the Carolinas for a 30 year reunion.

After being taken back that it had been 30 years, I said yes. Bought tickets. Got a date and I met J.J. and his wife, Carol for this 30 year reunion.

The crazy thing is, J.J. and I could have hit a rough spot in our friendship several times, but instead, we both chose to respect each other and rock on. In fact, I can't remember anything but support from he and his family for the last 30 years.

I just wanted to share a special rendition of a song that Todd Rundgren wrote many years ago, while taking a back seat to his friend, Darryl Hall of Hall & Oates on this song.

J.J., I want to take a back seat right now and let you know that you've been a great friend for more than 30 years and I admire you, your dad, your mom, and your sisters, Jolene and Karen more than I can say. Everytime I see your family together, I learn how to love and treasure special moments in life. You and your family are Italian in every way and I adore you all.

After spending the 4th of July of 2011 in Gatlinburg, Tennessee with you and Carol and your extended family, I see more clearly just how special you and your family are. President BARACK OBAMA was invited to address a major gathering of the American Indian Nation two weeks ago in upstate New York.

He spoke for almost an hour about his plans for increasing every Native American's present standard of living. He referred to his time as a U.S. Senator and how he had voted for every Native American issue that came to the floor of the Senate.

Although President Obama was vague about the details of his plans, he seemed most enthusiastic and spoke eloquently about his ideas for helping his "red sisters and brothers."

At the conclusion of his speech, the Tribes presented Obama with a plaque inscribed with his new Indian name, "Walking Eagle."

The proud President Obama accepted the plaque and then departed in his motorcade to a fundraiser, waving to the crowds.

A news reporter later asked the group of chiefs how they came to select the new name they had given to the President.

If you've ever heard of blog and ping then you might have uncovered one of the secrets why blogs are loved by Google. If a blog is well established, then if you make a post, the rss and atom feeds go to work notifying the search engines that there is fresh content on this new post. Sometimes the new content will be indexed by Google in a matter of minutes. The Googlebot will visit your new post and scan your content, then make a cache page for the index; therefore making your new post appear in the search engines. Otherwise, your new post is like a tree falling in the forest with no one around to hear the sound.

The RSS (really simple syndication) ping system is built in to the WordPress blog system by default. It notifies Ping-o-Matic which in turn notifies up to over 20 ping services.

The Atom feed has to be turned on in the WordPress Dashboard before it will start working. You can sign in to your Dashboard (WordPress admin or back office), then look in the left margin for the heading: 'Setting', then click on it to open several other options under it. You must click on the 'Writing' link. Scroll down near the bottom of that page untill you see the 'Enable the Atom Publishing Protocol' option. Put a check mark in the box next to it and then make sure you click the save button to finalize your choice.

I have always been mesmerized by the hypnotic rhythm and lyrics of this poem turned song. The wisdom rings true.

The Wikipedia says, "Wear Sunscreen or the Sunscreen are the common names of an essay titled "Advice, like youth, probably just wasted on the young" written by Mary Schmich and published in the Chicago Tribune as a column in 1997, but often erroneously attributed to a commencement speech by author Kurt Vonnegut. Both its subject and tone are similar to the 1927 poem "Desiderata". The most popular and well-known form of the essay is the successful music single "Everybody's Free (To Wear Sunscreen)", released in 1998, by Baz Luhrmann.

Mary Schmich's "Advice, like youth, probably just wasted on the young"[1] was published in the Chicago Tribune as a column on June 1, 1997. In her introduction to the column, she described it as the commencement speech she would give if she were asked to give one.

The column soon became the subject of an urban legend, in which it was alleged to be an MIT commencement speech given by author Kurt Vonnegut in that same year (in truth, MIT's commencement speaker that year was Kofi Annan). Get to know your parents, you never know when they’ll be gone for

should hold on. Work hard to bridge the gaps in geography and
lifestyle because the older you get, the more you need the people you
knew when you were young. Live in New York City once, but leave before it makes you hard; live in Northern California once, but leave before it makes you soft.

Travel. Accept certain inalienable truths, prices will rise, politicians will philander, you too will get old, and when you do you’ll fantasize
that when you were young prices were reasonable, politicians were
noble and children respected their elders. Respect your elders.

Don’t expect anyone else to support you. Maybe you have a trust fund,
maybe you have a wealthy spouse; but you never know when either one
might run out.

Don’t mess too much with your hair, or by the time you're 40, it will
look 85.

Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who
supply it. Advice is a form of nostalgia, dispensing it is a way of
fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the
ugly parts and recycling it for more than it’s worth. But trust me on the sunscreen…

We had about 5 snow storms here in South Carolina this year compared to our usual one or two. While walking up to a local restaurant in Spartanburg, SC to enjoy some Thai food at the Bangkok restaurant, I noticed a new fly fishing shop. I did a u-turn and walked into their new shop. The two owners greeted me with an enthusiasm for fly fishing.

Years ago, I saw the movie, 'A River Runs Through It' and like millions, I was enchanted by the scene where the father and his two sons went to to the river fly fishing for trout. I've got to tell you that I love to order trout when I go out to eat and that combined with the poetry of the fishing lines dancing in the sunlight in this movie clip, they had me at hello.

I bought wading pants and special boots with thick felt soles to walk on slippery rocks in the rivers of North Carolina. When Spring hit, I went back in the specialty fishing shoppe and ordered a fly fishing rod that can be broken down into four pieces for portability. I imagined taking my motorcycle up to an NC mountain stream or river and whipping out my new equiptment while giving my spirit a bit of beauty and peace and returning home with a fresh catch that I savor.

I salute all those that have a passion for fly fishing.

. One day the lead character, Hal, ran into the self help coach, Tony Robbins. Tony puts the whammy on him so that Hal can see the inner beauty of a woman instead of just how she looks.

Hal quickly falls for an overweight woman with a good heart named Rosie (Gwenneth Paltrow). Hal sees Rosie as a super-model while others are trying to explain that she's a whale of a catch. The movie is cute within the romantic comedy genre and does challenge superficiality.

The one scene that made me cry is that when dating Rosemary (Rosie) led Hal on a date which included a visit to the children's burn unit at the hospital. The children were delighted that Hal couldn't see their disfiguring burns. He gave special attention to a girl named Cadence and see smiled from ear to ear.

After the trance that Hal had been under wears off, he returns to the hospital looking for Rosie and Cadence, with shocking burn scars on her face trys to say hi to Hal, he doesn't recognize her. She looks hurt and says, "I'm Cadence". Hal now remembers and says: "Oh, of course I remember you." Then, he hugs her saving face...both his and her's.

Brad Fallon Tribute to SEO

While living in Rio de Janeiro in 2006, I was frustrated that I couldn’t work as a foreigner in Brazil. I reasoned that if I could learn how to promote things on the Internet, then I could work from anywhere in the world in the American market as long as I could get an Internet connection. Imagining that even if I was old with one tooth and unable to walk, I could still make a living if I could simply lay in bed as an invalid with a laptop. I decided then and there that I would learn how to make a living online.

For the next couple of years, I burned through over $40,000 investing in online courses and live seminars struggling to crack the code on how to make a living on the net. Gurus lurked everywhere in wait for me to see their ads and lure me in to buy their over priced courses. Everything looked so shiny and I confess, I often took the bait. Over time I realized that most gurus where only good at selling their courses, Internet marketers were simply marketing to other Internet marketers. I gained a few general tips along the way, but most of the courses lacked real “how to” content or they made me feel I was jumping on a horse and riding in 50 directions at the same time.

Fresh air arrived when I came across some reviews about Brad Fallon, Stomping the Search Engines and SEO. Online marketers were raving about Brad and mentioned how much a course called “Stomping the Search Engines” about search engine optimization had made a difference for them. I finally found a place to order a copy of it for $300. Everyone’s review sounded like it was really old and out of print so I felt lucky I was able to still buy it.

When Brad Fallon’s course arrived, I found it to be an 8 hour audio interview with him going from the basics to more advanced methods on how to get your website to the top of the search engines for a particular keyword or keyword phrase. Brad even covered black hat techniques that some marketers tried in violation of the search engines terms of service. I found the course astounding. Brad spoke with such authority.

Since the Bose iPod Docking station came out years ago, I put one in my bathroom and listened to podcasts and educational courses every time I took a shower. When I purchased Brad’s course, it immediately became the only thing I listened to for a year and a half. I must have listened to that 8 hour audio course over 60 times. I listened to it in my car; I listened to it while jogging. To me, it opened a door that was worthy of my commitment.

I started experimenting with Brad Fallon’s techniques on some small time sites, sheepishly. I was so afraid that I’d make a mistake, so I’d build some links then sit back and wait hoping I wouldn’t be banned by the search engines. It was a slow agonizing process until I started to realize that the techniques were working. In fact, I found that by dedicating myself to the execution of his theories, I was getting websites to the top of the search engines at will. For the next few years, I dedicated myself more and more, going from local sites to helping multinational corporations and international broadcasting media companies get to the top of the search engines. I started devouring everything I could get my hands on in organic search until I lost all fear of SEO. I practiced my craft for a couple of years and during that time, I got everything to the top of Google that I desired. I always succeeded. It became child’s play. The Google algorithm was a joke to me, even though they claimed there were over 200 factors in their rankings. Whoop-tee-doo…I found that, like polititians, Google’s declarations about SEO were duplicitous.

In fact, I was asked to be on the Board at Georgia REIA. Many clubs come to me asking for real estate investing speakers. In fact, I've done a lot of booking as a speaker's agent. I also hosted the Real Deal Radio Show a few years ago. Therefore, I'm always concerned about smooth talking public speakers that sell their courses for thousands of dollars then leave town while not backing up their product. It simply gives creative real estate investing education a bad reputation. Recently the name Rich Meyer, a real estate investor trainer, has been brought to my attention by a man whom I have known to have impeccable integrity for nearly a decade. He says he bought a course on how to get your share of surplus funds at court houses throughout America from Mr. Meyer. One of his students invested in Rich Meyer's product only to be disappointed. In fact, I have read emails from Rich Meyer saying he owed his student a refund and would be paying him, but that has now stretched out into months on end. Now, Rich Meyer, won't even return calls. I also have called him to get his side of the story and not suprisingly, he doesn't return my call. I welcome a call from Rich Meyer at 206-202-8023 to tell me his side of the story and he is welcome to publish his comments below. Bare in mind, whatever he says, I have read his emails where he says he is going to refund this trusting student's money, but never did. Can I say for sure whether Rich Meyer is a scammer or just broke? No. But after reading his own emails to my friend, I can tell he is avoiding the problem. I just received this chain email below. Being that I want to repeal Obama Care since in forces citizens to be slaves of the State through mandating that the public purchase a Ponzi Scheme product called health insurance from private profiteers. The latest is to exempt themselves from the Healthcare Reform that was passed...in all of its forms.

This is a good way to do that. It is an idea whose time has come. Have each person contact a minimum of twenty people on their Address list; in turn ask each of those to do likewise. In three days, most people in The United States of America will have the message. This is one proposal that really should be passed around.

Greenville Spartanburg SC Hum | Kokomo Hum

Maybe you've heard of the Kokomo Hum that has incessantly driven residents of Kokomo, Indiana crazy hum. That hum can cause insomnia and irritability.

Well, there is no question about it, Spartanburg, SC has a low hum as well. I noticed it a couple of years ago and it really was irritating, especially at night when you were trying to sleep. The whole house is quiet and when you put your ear to the pillow, it amplifies the hum.

My first thought is that the hum was inside my house as it sounded like an electrical hum, but after shutting down all the power to the house, the hum remained. There is a golf course with a high powered well down the street about a mile from me and I wondered if that was it. To this day I don't know what caused it. However, the hum did stop briefly during the summer months of 2010. That's when the golf course sprinklers should have been going full blast, so I don't think the golf course well is the cause.

The Spartanburg/ Boiling Springs hum has returned during October of 2010; however it is much less pronounced than it was last year.

I was thinking it was isolated to one area, but I drove 40 minutes to my girlfriend's house last Fall in 2009, and sure enough, she had it too. I asked if she could hear it and she said absolutely. She was living in Taylors, SC, right next to Greenville, South Carolina.

If anyone has heard it or has any idea what the source is please leave your comments as I'm very interested the the Upstate Hum in Greenville and Spartanburg, SC.

As I recall, I had moved to South Carolina in the Fall of 1999 and lived near Spartanburg, SC. However, Spartanburg seemed like the land that time forgot; so whenever I had a date or needed to buy something, I'd head over to Greenville, SC and shop at the Haywood Mall or CompUSA, but I never made it downtown to Main Street.

One day while doing an errand, I started exploring downtown Greenville. I came in on I-385, went in front of the Bi-Lo Center, then made a left on to Main St. at the Hyatt, then my mouth dropped open. I thought I was in Europe.

Main Street Greenville, South Carolina had some of the widest sidewalks I had ever seen on a city street. In places, they seemed 20 to 30 feet leaving ample room for mature trees to line the sidewalks and large flower boxes filled with beautiful plants and blooms. Restaurants and boutiques were side by side for as far as the eye could see. Each shoppe had it's own unique front. Most of the restaurants had indoor/outdoor seating. Colorful umbrellas over the the cafe tables lined the streets. I felt like I was in Paris. During the warmer months, the City blocks off Main Street for pedestrian traffic only and has open air bands where the people can mix and mingle with a glass of wine in the hand. As the sun goes down, the tiny twinkling lights in the trees lining Main Street turn on creating a magical atmosphere as people gaze upward to the sky while standing in the middle of the street with music in their ears.

I shook my head in disbelief thinking I'd lived 35 minutes away from this jewel of a city and I had never even known about how charming the downtown was. I just pictured downtown Greenville would be like any medium sized city in the United States struggling to stay alive, run down and brimming with the homeless. It was quite the opposite. In fact, it was thriving with bustling businesses, each showcasing unique character.

As I met store and restauant owners, they said there was actually a revival taking place and that just 10 years before, many of the businesses I was seeing were boarded up including the Poinsett Hotel which has had such a hot acceptance after the renovations that Hollywood has has taken notice by filming "Leatherheads" there. This movie stars George Clooney and Renee Zellwger in the 1920s style hotel. How would one know the 1920s style? Why the very building was made in 1925 by W.L. Stoddard, of course.

When I had a special date, I'd wisk her over to a quaint restarant in Greenville, but I was still completely unaware that if I had explored just few more blocks towards the West Main area, I would have seen one of the most prized possessions of Greenville...the Reedy River Falls Park.

The Reedy River goes right under Main Street next to their performing arts center known as the Peace Center. One can take a leisurely stroll down the steps to walk into a Garden of Eden like area filled with dramatic waterfalls, trees, manicured lawn with nature and people living in harmony. Just watch the video at the top of this post and you'll see that these words hold true. They even have an open air amphitheatre that features 'Shakespeare in the Park' May through August. Fight Foreclosure: Make ‘Em Produce The Note!
Using the “produce the note” strategy is something all homeowners facing foreclosure can do. If you believe you’ve been treated unfairly, fight back. We have created templates for a legal request, a letter to your lender and a motion to compel to help you through the process. Read the step by step “how to” under the videos.
Special note: In some states, a lender can foreclose on your home without going to court. These are called non-judicial foreclosure states. You can still use the “Produce the Note” strategy in these states, but it takes a few more steps on your part.
Produce the Note - Steps To Follow:
WHO OWNS THE NOTE?
Your goal is to make certain the institution suing you is, in fact, the owner of the note (see steps to follow below). There is only one original note for your mortgage that has your signature on it. This is the document that proves you owe the debt.
During the lending boom, most mortgages were flipped and sold to another lender or servicer or sliced up and sold to investors as securitized packages on Wall Street. In the rush to turn these over as fast as possible to make the most money, many of the new lenders did not get the proper paperwork to show they own the note and mortgage. This is the key to the produce the note strategy. Now, many lenders are moving to foreclose on homeowners, resulting in part from problems they created, and don’t have the proper paperwork to prove they have a right to foreclose.
THE HARM
If you don’t challenge your lender, the court will simply allow the foreclosure to proceed. It’s important to hold lenders accountable for their carelessness. This is the biggest asset in your life. It’s just a piece of paper to them, and one they likely either lost or destroyed.
When you get a copy of the foreclosure suit, many lenders now automatically include a count to re-establish the note. It often reads like this: “…the Mortgage note has either been lost or destroyed and the Plaintiff is unable to state the manner in which this occurred.” In other words, they are admitting they don’t have the note that proves they have a right to foreclose.
If the lender is allowed to proceed without that proof, there is a possibility another institution, which may have bought your note along the way, will also try to collect the same debt from you again.
A Tennessee borrower recently had precisely that happen to her. Her lender, Ameriquest, foreclosed on her in July of 2007. About three months later, another bank sent her a default notice for the mortgage on the house she just lost. She called to find out what was going on. After being transferred from place to place and left on hold for lengthy periods of time, no one could explain what happened. They said they would get back to her, but never did. Now, she faces the risk of having her credit continually damaged for a debt she no longer owes.
FIGHT FOR FAIRNESS
This process is not intended to help you get your house for free. The primary goal is to delay the foreclosure and put pressure on the lender to negotiate. Despite all the hype about lenders wanting to help homeowners avoid foreclosure, most borrowers know that’s not the reality.
Too many homeowners have experienced lender resistance to their efforts to work out a payment structure to keep them in their homes. Many lenders bear responsibility for these defaults, because they put borrowers into unfair loans using deceptive, hard-sell practices and then made the problem worse with predatory servicing.
Most homeowners just want these lenders to give them reasonable terms on their mortgages, many of which were predatory to begin with. With the help of judges who see through these predatory practices, lenders will feel the pressure to work with borrowers to keep them in their homes. Don’t forget lenders made incredible amounts of money by using irresponsible practices to issue and service these loans. That greed led to the foreclosure crisis we’re in today. Allowing lenders to continue foreclosing on home after home, destroying our neighborhoods and our economy hurts us all. So, make it hard for your lender to take your home. Make ‘em produce the note!
STEPS TO FOLLOW
A. If your lender has already filed suit to foreclose on your home:
Use the first form. It’s a fill-in-the-blank legal request to your lender asking that the original note be produced, before it can proceed with the foreclosure. In some jurisdictions, the courts require the original request to be filed with the clerk of court and a copy of the request to be sent to the attorney representing the lender. To find out the rules where you live, call the Clerk of Court in your jurisdiction.
If the lender’s attorney does not respond within 30 days, file a motion to compel with the court and request that the court set a hearing on your motion. That, in effect, asks the judge to order the lender to produce the documents.
The judge will issue a ruling at your hearing. Many judges around the country are becoming more sympathetic to homeowners, because of the prevalence of predatory lending and servicing. In the past, many lenders have relied upon using lost note affidavits, but in many cases, that’s no longer enough to satisfy the judge. They are holding the lender to the letter of the law, requiring them to produce evidence that they are the true owners of the note. For example:
In October 2007, Ohio Federal Court Judge Christopher Boyko dismissed 14 foreclosure cases brought by investors, ruling they failed to prove they owned the properties they were trying to seize.
B. If you are in default, but your lender has not yet filed suit against you:
Use the second form. It’s a fill-in-the-blank letter to your lender which also requests they produce the original note, before taking foreclosure action against you.
If the lender does not respond and files suit against you to foreclose, follow the steps above.

THE LATEST: Borrower wins more time to fight foreclosure! At a court hearing Tuesday, a Pinellas County, Florida Judge denied Wachovia the right to proceed with its foreclosure against borrower Jacqueline O’Brien (profiled in the CNN story). Instead, O’Brien was granted a continuance, as she pursues the produce the note strategy. Wachovia expressed interest in renegotiating the terms of the loan, rather than continuing the court battle. Youtube Unveils New Widescreen Format (16:9)

I was playing a Youtube video tonight at 11 p.m. eastern standard time, then I refreshed the page and the new widescreen format appeared in the Youtube player.

The new default Youtube player size is: 640x360 pixels.

Wow, this changes everything. And, in my opinion, it's for the better!!! With TV going all digital and new TVs being widescreen with a 16:9 format, I think this change in none too soon.

There are a lot of web 2.0 video marketers that are using the new Flip Video HD which uses the new YouTube 16:9 widescreen format which Amazon offering at a discount. The resolution format of the new Flip Video Mino HD is 1280 x 720 so it wouldn't surprise me if that were the new HQ upload resolution for Youtube widescreen players. It has been 640 x 480 for HQ, but now it makes me believe it will be 1280 x 720 because I doubt the Flip video company did this new format on a whim; I'll bet they were in communication with Google/Youtube the whole time because they proudly display the Youtube logo all over their Flip Mino boxes. I've ordered mine and it's on it's way!

Another little known secret is that it appears there are now 3 levels of YouTube video resolution. First is the default video that everyone gets to see. Second, one can click on the "Watch Video in High Quality" hypertext link directly under the video. And here's the secret, it appears to me, that some videos qualify to an even higher level of resolution which I believe to be 720 pixels. To get there, you can watch the video in high quality, then add: "&fmt=22" to the end of the HQ url in the browser. It doesn't work on every video because not every video is uploaded at the right settings, but it will for for some. So, that means YouTube is making 3 different videos when you upload them if they qualify.

I believe the purpose for this level of resolution is for services like videos shown on regular HD TVs through Apple TV which is delivered through iTunes and video podcasts.

This simple demo has me convinced that YouTube now makes 3 copies of your videos instead of one or two.

For me, this is a big deal because it's so hard to dial and drive, now cars around me will have a much needed chance not to meet me after a fender bender.

It's super easy to use, just start the app, then bring the phone to your ear, when you hear the beep, say what you are searching for, then just look at the screen for the results. It's that easy.

Should the Government Slap Google as New Evil Ads Hit YouTube.com?

Have you also been irritated at the evil Google ads that cover up 20% of the YouTube video you are trying to watch? The Google Evil Ads make me want to scream at the ones who perpetrated this over the top malady.

The problems with this concept are obvious. We, the users of Google, are coming to YouTube to see content produced by the public, so Google gets free content and traffic that they did not produce. Then, we the user have this pop up in our face taking up about 20% of our viewing area even though a 2 or 3 inch ad was to the right of the video. No, that's not enough for Google, even though we have made them two of the richest cats around in a short time. The billions and billions aren't enough for them, they have to push the envelope till they push us away. Even though they know that we hate forced pop ups, they do it because they can.

Google is apparently battling out having copyrighted content displaying on YouTube to begin with. When the courts see that Google is now superimposing an ad right across copyrighted material, how will it bode for their case? Thanks Google, we'd like to watch this content, but your overreaching greed make it a possibility that this we be taken away from the public.

Now, how will professional recording artists, publishers, actors and movie producers like Google making money running ads across content that Google doesn't pay royalties on? Is Google asleep at the wheel or just drunk on stupidity. In the photo above, one can see that this is a video that Gloria Estefan recorded but isn't getting paid a dime for it to run on YouTube.com. Google has ads everywhere on the page to begin with, but now they are blatantly stealing the royalties from artists without shame. How do you think Gloria Estefan would feel about Google making money off her recordings in this way? How can Google even fight for their right to host copyrighted material to their financial gain while the creator of the material gets hosed?

This reminds me of when the Google Checkout feature was added, only their own ads had a color logo in the Adsense ads when everyone else who was paying for an ad had to live with a boring text ad. Thanks again Google for taking advantage of those that pay your bills.

This blows my mind that Google would do something this offensive. What ever happened to their original model that Google will do no evil? Well, I think that went out the window a long time ago and it's too bad for the people that made them so successful.

Are Edenpure and SunTwin Heaters a Scam?

Like many of you, I received a convincing brochure about a cutting edge space heater that will pay for itself in one winter season with it's savings in electricity.

Like you, I was skeptical. I live in an older poorly insulated house so the benefits listed in the Edenpure and SunTwin brochure looked enticing.

The story was that some guy accidently laid a piece of cured copper near a heat sorce, then noticed that the cured copper continued to give off a soothing even heat even after the other heat source was extinquished. This man got his inventor cap on and decided to create a self contained portable heater with his new discovery.

He added quartz heating lamps inside a box that pointed to cured copper plates that would absorb their radient heat, then a fan would blow air past those plates, thus creating an even heat source with better efficiency thus saving the consumer money.

Is this true? I studied it a few days and read other people's thoughts on the product on the net and decided to go ahead and buy a couple of them because I like space heaters that direct a concentration of heat in my direction like when I'm in my office chair. I don't like to heat the whole house if I don't have to. I get cold feet in the winter so I like to be able to direct my heat in a precise way.

I bought one for $450 that carried the name SunTwin. This heater is super quiet and creates a cozy flow of lovely warm air. This heater is encased in a beautiful chassis of hardwood like furniture and it had wheels to slide it to where I wanted it's heat. It also has a handheld remote controlled thermostat.

The shocking surprise: the portable heater gave all the benefits short one, I couldn't back up their claims of energy cost savings. In fact, my electricity bill went up 15% from the previous year, even though we are having a mild winter in South Carolina in January of 2008. I can in no way support that this unit will pay for itself in one season. Sometimes, I only ran these Edenpure and SunTwin heaters without kicking in my whole house heat pump.

I will say that I like the heaters for other reasons. They are quiet, especially the SunTwin that is encased in wood, like furniture. The smaller Edenpure, that is boxed in plastic is almost twice as loud, but that works out fine for my bedroom creating white noise while I sleep. The other one, I keep in the den and it really fits in the decor.

The positive claims that I can support are that it gives a soft warm heat that over time will fill up a room with an even heat as compared to space heaters whose coils glow red hot and force out super hot air that rises to the ceiling immediately.

When I point the heaters directly at me, they don't make me yawn with sleepiness like ceramic and resistance heaters do that I buy at Wal-Mart. The theory is that the common heaters that glow red hot actually destroy oxygen in the air so that you immediately get sleepy in front of traditional space heaters. I do agree with this.

Another big selling point is their safety. I never have a fear with these SunTwin and Edenpure heaters causing a fire. In fact, I can pick them up anywhere and not get burned. The heating elements are deep within so not even a pet or child could knock them over to create a fire as far as I can see. I love that since I have 3 pets inside my house and I have always feared a fire with traditional space heaters that glow with red coils.

So, my evaluation of these SunTwin and Edenpure quartz heaters with cured copper internal plates is mostly positive, but I don't think they will pay for themselves as claimed in one season, but they do provide a beautiful comforting heat source. Even though I didn't save money, I do enjoy their heat. The heat they provide is a more even soft safe heat that doesn't make me sleepy when I sit close to them. In fact, I have one blowing at my back as I type this in my office in January.

I think the closest thing to the type of heat that these unique heaters are the oil filled radiator heaters that you can get at Wal-Mart. The reason I say that it that they don't burn the air with red glowing coils and they softly heat the room over a period of time through convection.

Bottom line for me on Edenpure and SunTwin quartz heaters- they produce a wonderful quality of heat and are considerably safer to use, especially around pets, but they have a 750 watt rating right on the smaller one and a 1500 watt rating on the SunTwin, so they probably won't pay for themselves in one season. So, if the safety features and the even heating without making you sleepy are worth it to you, then you'll love these space heaters. If you're just trying to save money, then I'd think twice.

Now, I'm into my second season with the Edenpure and Sun Twin heaters. I still enjoy the quality of heat with both of them. They have proven safe and my cat sleeps on top of both of them often so they seem to be safer than those $30 to $60 ceramic space heaters that I used to use. Neither of these two heaters would be easy to knock over. I dare say that I don't believe either will ever get knocked over in my lifetime.

I still don't see any energy savings.

The larger Sun Twin for about $450 remains my favorite, but I started the season shipping it back to the company that sold it to me for repairs. I asked them specifically to replace the thermostat and said I'd even pay for it. The heater only had about 20 more days left to it's warranty when they mailed me a shipping label which they paid for. I went to UPS and shipped it off and about a week later it was returned to me. The invoice said free repair. The action they took was oiling the fan because it had a slow fan. I was ticked off! Why does a fan need oiling after one season anyway? Also, if it didn't fix the problem, then I was out of warranty.

To my surprise, they were correct and the heater has worked flawlessly for two months of constant use.

My 2009 bottom line is that they are wonderful heaters, but don't save you any money. If you like the other qualities enough to pay a premium, then they may be for you.

The qualities of heat they claim are:

-safer heaters- heating element run cooler and are deeper in the unit
-don't dry out the air because they don't get as hot
-don't take out oxygen from the air because they don't burn oxygen like coiled units
-they more evenly disperse the heat throughout the room because the heated air stays lower

I do like them, but I tend to buy expensive things for myself as I'm single with no kids. I've got $750 tied up in these heaters, so that would prohibit most reasonable households from buying them.

I bought my first infrared heaters in 2007 and now here are my latest thoughts...

Ha, your "no one really cares" comment was my favorite in our thread. You're probably right.
As you can see, I put up this blog post on February 8th, 2008, so that tells you I bought my first Edenpure and SunTwin heaters in the Fall of 2007. We are now in our 4th winter season with the heaters so I feel I have some valid perspective on them.

I got a very expensive brochure from Edenpure probably around September of 2007 and the heaters looked and sounded awesome, but even their cheapest heater was 5 times the price of a WalMart resistance coil heater from Holmes, so I threw it in the trash.

The next day I pulled it out of the trash because I couldn't stop thinking about their claim that the heater would pay for itself in one season, so I reread the brochure and ordered their cheapest model. I liked it and used it in my bedroom. It made a soft rushing white noise that I found excellent for sleeping through barking dogs outside.

Then, I decided I wanted one for my den where my TV was so I ordered the larger SunTwin with a wooden cabinet. This larger and more powerful unit was actually much quieter so I pointed it right at me while I was watching TV. I loved it. Even my cat loved it becuase she would often sleep on top of it while it was running. I say I loved it, but I was ticked off when the power bill came. I could see no difference in power savings even though I thought I followed their instuctions to turn the central heat down in the rest of your house a few degrees and to use the infrared heaters in the room you were actually in. I don't know how well I did this because I'm cold natured, but my power bills were exactly the same as the previous year. I felt scammed, so by February of 2008 later that Winter I put up this post mostly in anger.

I continued to use the heaters and found that the other benefits of the heaters were accurate even though I doubted the savings claim.

The WalMart heaters and the Edenpure both said 1500 watts on the labels so I decided that they used the same amount of power, period. In fact, if turning your heat down a bit in the rest of the house and using the heaters primarily in the rooms you were in would save power, then the same technique could be used to save power with the WalMart heater, so I felt duped and was a bit mad at myself for falling for their slick brochure. My dad was an Air Force jet fighter pilot (number one in his class of 60 others) and a Hydrolic Engineer with a brilliant mind and he taught me to think things through when it came to products like this. My dad had me taking things apart and fixing them from an early age. We even had these 'build it yourself' products from Heathkit, so I was exposed to electronics at an early age. I watched my dad work for 3 weeks putting together our home stereo by soldering all the pieces to a circuit board. Later, when I was 16, we did a complete overhaul of my car's engine. It ran like a top.

Anyway, it was a cold winter so I kept using the heaters with no power savings and I started appreciating the other qualities they talked about in the brochure that didn't refer to power savings.
Here are the other claims they made that I found true:

1. Safety: my pets had overturned my cheap heaters from WalMart several times and I was terrified to leave them on especially if I went outside to work in my shop or went on a quick trip to the store. My house is a wooden frame house and in fact two of the rooms are log cabins from the 1840s, so I'm very concerned about safety.

I believe these heaters are absolutely safer than resistance coil heaters because they don't reach flammable levels even inside the heater. If the heaters were turned over, I'm confident they wouldn't start a fire even if the blower was directed right at paper or cloth. They have an automatic shutoff too when tipped over (which is VERY hard to do because of their weight and wide stance.)That's a big plus when you've got 3 pets in the house. My cat often slept on top of the SunTwin when I was watching TV in the den. You could touch any part of the heater from the outside without burning yourself so I appreciated this feature.

2. They don't dry the air. I've always had sensitive dry eyes so I've had to point fans or heaters away from my direction to keep them from drying my eyes out therefore I couldn't get the intimate warmth from other heaters by pointing them right at me. I had no problem with my eyes or nasal passages pointing these infrared heaters directly at me so they really helped to keep me warm when it was 14 degrees outside in a drafty house.

3. They don't burn oxygen from the air. To be honest, I have no way of testing if these or other heaters take oxygen from the air. I suppose that if the resistance coil heaters run so hot they can start a fire, they could alter the O2 in the air, but I'm just not sure.
I do know that the cheap heaters make me yawn and I get sleepy if I'm in front of them. It's possible that this is a result of reduced oxygen. I do not get sleepy in front of the infrared heaters which is a great plus since I make my living on a computer and I often have them directed right at me while I'm working.

3. They heat up a room more evenly. I have no way of testing this but I saw a infrared video online showing that resistance coil heaters put out heat and it then goes straight to the ceiling in one concentrated spot as where the infrared heaters heated the whole room more evenly therefore having less cold spots. This is probably true.

4. Caster wheels make them easy to move from room to room. The smaller Edenpure doesn't have these, but the SunTwin has very good wheels that roll over most anything. It's not a big deal, but they are convenient because I reposition my SunTwin constantly.

5. Remote controls: my two newest infrared heater have handheld remotes that operate all the features of the last two of the four that I own. This is a great convenience for me not having to get up to change a setting.

Now, for the things I don't like:

1. Expensive: no question about it, the heaters cost more and I can't say they don't pay for themselves as stated in the flashy Edenpure brochure.

2. Bulb replacement: the EdenPure and the SunTwin heaters do need to have the bulbs replaced every few years. My cheaper Edenpure has never needed a bulb replacement, but the SunTwin has had two bulbs replaced after the 3rd years of use. The bulbs also have glass surrounding them so I suppose they could be fragile under some circumstances.

3. Maintenance: after the first year, my SunTwin would start and run with heat for 15 minutes, then when it cycled, it wouldn't come back on. It was still under warranty from the reseller, so they sent me a free shipping label and fixed it for free (the dealer did this, not Edenpure or SunTwin). I was mad when they said that they simply oiled the fan due to what they called 'slow fan'. It did work for the rest of the season, but then the next year it did the same thing when it went out of warranty. I told them they should have replaced the fan and not cut corners by simply oiling it. This year, I had the fan replaced and two of the bulbs replaced. To be fair, my Honeywell resistance coil heater I keep in the bathroom is doing the same thing.

4. Requires about 3 more minutes to start warming a room and for the fan to kick in. There is a delay for the fan to start while it's waiting for the heating elements to warm up). I don't use the infrared heaters in the bathroom because the resistance heaters warm my tiny bathroom quicker also if the steamy showers affect the electronics, then I'd rather lose a cheap heater than an expensive one.
As you can see, once I get wound up, I can go on and on.

I was building a website for an Italian manufacturer of auto accessories which led to a tip on another company that needed a website. This year (2011) I had an offer to build a website for a newer ceramic infrared heater company based out of Columbia, SC. I asked to have two of their heaters as part of the exchange. I got the EcoSunTec 2-in-1 IAP 1000 and the EcoSunTec 3-in-1 IMAP 1000 as part of the deal. They even offered to fix my SunTwin in their service center for free. They replaced the fan and two bulbs. That worked out well for me because I do like this unit in my den while I'm watching TV because it's so quiet and looks great with the wood cabinet that matches my furniture.

Both heaters will work as fans in the warmer months to cool me down and as heaters when it's cool. The IMAP 3-in-1 has a humidifier that's supposed to make one feel warmer for less power used which I think is a step in the right direction. It's like a sauna lite. This also helps your skin from drying out as well as your nasal passages and eyes. Both units have a remote control that I love so I can sleep with a cool room under the blankets, yet click the remote to warm the room a few minutes before I jump out of my bed using the remote from across the room.

Both EcoSunTec units have air purification year round. The 2-in-1 even has a PCO titanium system which kills airborne viruses, fungus and bacteria while deodorizing the room. It even kills the H1N1 virus.

I haven't started selling them, but if I like them, I will talk with the owners about doing so. I will continue to tell my likes and dislikes openly, but I will say that I like them better than the Edenpure and the SunTwin heaters as they don't have remote controls, a humidifier or air purification in the models I own.

Another thing I like about the EcoSunTec heaters is they use a ceramic infrared heating element rather the the fragile bulbs which I suspect will last longer and be less fragile, though they don't make that claim.

So, once again, my take on these is they are superior heaters compared to resistance coil heaters if you appreciate the features I listed above, but I don't suspect they will save most people money. Of all the heaters, I think the EcoSunTec 3-in-1 might save you a tad bit of money because of the humidifier making you feel warmer for less power drain.

As far as commenter below named alank44 (he said he didn't like anything made in China): he called the Chinese, Chinks, I think that is unfair. I'm not wild about their government, but the people are fine and their products are among the best in the world. 40 years ago, one could be critical, but now their electronics are world class (though, they have had bad standards in allowing toxins in food for humans and pets). I'm not crazy about our government either as they are passing laws and regulations to be more like the Chinese government.

I challenged Alan to name a product that the United States made that is better than what China produces. He never answered, he just called them Chinks.

The big question is will Google try to destoy competitors through unfair business practices? There is a lot of evidence that they will. PayPerPost.com is a competitor of Google. There is evidence that Google is going to hurt a lot of people so they can keep their financial gravy train as if they didn't already have enough. My prediction is that Google will be hit with the same struggles that Microsoft has gone through when it comes to unfair business practices. Google will deserve everything the public and the regulators throw at them. Funny thing is, they won't change, it's inevitable as they appear to be drunk with there success and are getting wreckless.

It's like in the AdSense ads, Google was the only one that unfairly advertised their Google Checkout cart with colorful icons, everyone else had to stay with one color. When I saw that, I saw color all right....RED!

They have also started putting their Google Local before everyone else's natural listings. They are even paying people $10 per business entry to get every business in America listed. When they do, you can be sure they'll use it to control everyone to march like lemmings in lockstep.

Apple Releases New Safari 3 Browser for Microsoft Windows

Browser Speed Comparisons - Apple's Safari 3 Leaves the Others in the Dust
Safari 3 browser now works with Microsoft Windows PCs! Not only does it work, but browsing is twice as fast as Microsoft's IE 7 browser. I just downloaded it and it's amazing how much faster pages pop up when surfing. It takes about 3 minutes to download a free copy, so why not check it out. One can have several browsers on their PC at the same time with no confict.

Also, the highly regarded Mozilla Firefox 3 Beta is available now as well for Windows, Macs and Linux based systems. This browser gets more praise than does the IE 7 browser, though I must admit the IE 7 browser is much more stable than any of their previos releases. Why not try them all. At least use Safari 3 for faster browsing and IE 7 when you're doing your banking as some financial portals insist you use IE 7 to do your transactions.

A couple of years ago, I might have recommended Opera browsers, but since they're the slowest of the top browsers, I can't see any reason you'd want to use it. It is a very clean browser, but too slow.

Safari may be fast but it makes some pages look odd, so in spite of the fact I was enthusiatic about it working with Window, I still think it's going to take more time before it displays a page as consistently as IE 7.

Firefox is great, I use it when I want the best security. For general surfing, I still use the IE 7 browser. I wanted to get away from it because it's a Microsoft product and I don't trust Microsoft with security, but IE 7 is leaps ahead of IE 6. So, my hat is off to Microsoft to my surprise.

New Thoughts: I've now been using the Safari browser for a few months now after I had written the announcements above. I prefer both the IE7, IE8 Beta and the Firefox over the Safari. The reason is that the browser rearranges the elements on many webpages making things confusing. For example, photos will appear on top of written words, as where, the page displays properly on the other browsers.

One Man's Blog Stops NBC

One man's blog brought NBC to it's knees & had the top suits reduced to sucking their thumbs in the corner. What am I referring to? The Glen Woodfin Cafe called for a boycott of NBC in a blog entry on December 7th, 2007 after they refused to run a paid ad simply thanking our troops for their sacrifice during the holidays. They said it violated their policies. Yeah, I'll bet it did, yet they gave Al Gore over 30 hours of free broadcasting recently to promote his agenda (while Al Gore holds many investments that will explode with profits if he can get more of his legislation through). The NBC (Nitwits, Bozos & Clowns) had no problem clearing the way for Al Gore's stock portfolio (Big Al is a general partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, the Silicon Valley venture-capital firm which stands to make gigantic profits with alternative energy projects) to take a monster leap forward.

Obviously, I'm joking that my blog entry made any difference in their announcement today that they have reversed their decision to block the paid ads from running.

GE is the parent corporation that oversees NBC, but Jeffrey Immelt is showing his lack of leadership by allowing NBC to be such idiots. Doesn't he care that the NBC ratings are dropping like a rock. How investors long for the days of Jack Welsh. Why do CEOs like Immelt lack leadership?

After watching a short video on the reasons this little electronic device used for 15 minutes, several times a week, I began to understand why it lowers your blood pressure. Actually, the device doesn't lower your blood pressure, but changing your breathing habbits can. The video quoted some of the biggest names in medical journals that back up their claim. I believe that if you use this device faithfully, you will lower your blood pressure, but save your money because all the device does is helps you lower your breathing rate voluntarily.

Typically, an average person's breathing rate is around 15 or more breaths per minute, but studies show that with a slower breathing rate of under 10 per minute will actual help one lower their blood pressure. All the device does is calculate your current breathing rate and then matches it to different tones for inhaling and exhaling, then it gradually slows the frequency of the tones hoping you'll breathe along with the tones.

The device is fine, but my goodness gracious...the $300 price tag is enough to shoot your blood pressure through the roof. Hm, should I spend $300 on a tone generator with variable cadence or should I just take time out to relax and take deeper, slower breaths. You can change the world from a prison cell with an iPhone, literally. You could make millions of dollars without leaving your cell.

It reminds me of a great Bud Light beer commercial I saw years ago comparing one computer game that had the most cutting edge effects in world where one was tranfixed with the sites and sounds of battle where you actually beleived you were there, then they quieted the screen and said "...or, you can have Blip." The screen then showed a slow paced game like the original "Pong" where you move a small bar back and forth across the screen hoping that the ball would bounce off your paddle. A knob was all you controlled. Resperate is a "Blip" in my mind.

I found an excellent article on how to lower my cholesterol the natural way. The author suggests:

NBC refuses to run this paid ad by http://www.freedomswatch.org thanking our troops for protecting America. My God, just watch the ad and you'll see that you should stop watching NBC and write a letter to Jeffrey Immelt, GE CEO, parent company of NBC.

I remember when I was a child, I watched Walter Cronkite describe the war in Viet Nam with pictures of explosions on a map behind him representing the battles of the day and wondered if I too would have to go to war when I grew up. I never had to, but now, those that have the freedom to enjoy their life safely on American soil, do nothing but trash the soldiers that defend our country every day.

NBC, who has freedom of the press, abuses that privelege and spits in the eye of military families that have given their children's lives for them to have that freedom. I call for the firing of anyone involved with the rejection of this paid ad at NBC. I call for the boycott of anyone advertising on NBC. I call for the boycott of all GE products. Jeffrey Immelt is going to have a lot of red ink on his watch. How I wish Jack Welsh was still at the helm.

What has happened to America? How did ungrateful people get to the positions of leadership in our country while being of such sorry character.

American Public Schools Ignore What Others Die for

I went through the public school system all the way up through getting my bachelors degree from the University of Florida and there was one thing that teachers and the administration refused to mention: men died for the right to own your own business. It was never mentioned even once to me as I was processed through the Democratically controlled public school system.

The whole thrust of public education is to create another cog in the wheel at a corporation. In the 15 years of schooling that graduates of a state school have, it is never mentioned that you have the right to own your own business. No, instead they talk about subjecting yourself to a system that leads to a job. One is never encouraged to start a business. Students are encouraged to get good grades so that you can get a good GPA, which in turn will lead to getting in a good college, so you can start interviewing for a good company when you graduate. Then, you'll submit to paying taxes as an employee with your FICA taxes automatically deducted from your check. Viola, that way the Democrats will get what they want, a submissive citizen that fears doing anything out of the box. Democrats love the box of being a good little tax payer. The Democrat's goal is to create a Solviet Union in the United States with them in power. They want to control everything. Starting your own business is terrifying for the teachers unions. To go into business for yourself is a direct assault on the cage they want to imprison us with.

Why is this? The reason is because the liberal Democrats have taken over the public schools. Liberals want you to be told what to do and when to do it. Liberals own the teachers unions. The unions just want more and more money without results, just like the unions are at General Motors. They don't care about results, they just want more and more benefits and money until the whole system collapses.

Most Americans could wake up in a communist country and would never know the difference because they don't exercise their rights that people died for. Liberals create with their policies a system of going home to work, work to home, home to work, work to home in a mindless circle. They rig the school system to brainwash our youth into being part of their "common good" philosophy. They strip the rights of parents so that the goverment is now in charge of everything taught to kids.

I am so glad I was wrong on Chavez. He lost his push for the "Dictator for Life" quest. I was wrong because I thought he'd do anything and everything to win, including stuffing the ballot box.

My guess is that he thought he was so popular that he wouldn't need to.

On this matter, thank God I was wrong. Democracy has a candle in the political darkness surrounding the Chavez push for the Fidel Castro type of dictatorship. Anyone can see how Fidel Castro's political views have destroyed a country for a lifetime. His legacy is nothing but selfishness and pride leading to subjugation of the beautiful citizens of the island.

Hugo Chavez will be elected permanent dictator of Venezuela just like Fidel Castro. All the buildings in Venezuela will sport a paint job of 1965 just like the Castro regime. Chavez will steal the election and the street will be upset and then in the end the Communist dictatorship will totally destroy freedom in Venezueala. Chavez will cheat the electorial process. America is well on the way as sheep to the same destiny.

Frozen Dinners Are Getting HOT

It was every man for himself when it was dinner time at my house. I lost my mom when I was 11 years old, so everything she did, I tried to do. Cooking and washing dishes was something I became very familar with. I remember frozen dinners being adequate to fill you up, but I don't every remember them to be a gourmet treat, until now...

Am I the only one that walks by the frozen food section like it doesn't exist? I have passed it by for 20 years, but something exciting has been gracing the freezers. Several companies are creating delicious gourmet foods in the frozen foods isle. I feel silly even writing about it, but it's true. Stouffer's makes a great lasagna. But the best thing I've eaten in the frozen food section are the entrees from Kashi. Yes, it's the cerial company that brings you healthy food. I think my favorite is Chicken Florentine. The herbs & spices are exotic and the basics like the bed of rice are right out of a health food book. I absolutely love them. Here's a list of the ingredients of their Black Bean Mango:

If you like bold flavorful exotic foods that will break the the same ol'-same-ol' department, then you might want to consider grabbing a few of these.

I wish I got a commission for bragging about them, but I don't.

One warning is that all the frozen foods are coming in a microwavable plastic dishes, but I wouldn't trust any of them for being good for you while being nuked in the microwave. My guess is that they might be creating toxins while in the micro. I put them in a ceramic dish or glass bowl while cooking. I even flip them down into the plate so that the presentation isn't quite as nice, but the food is incredibly good.

Every thing I've tried with Boston Market has been good with the exception of their lasagna. It was way too much beef with gristle. It's so bad it sticks in your teeth. Their other dinners have been wonderul.

So, don't you think it's about time you started warming up to frozen dinners?

I'm a part of an incredible discount coupon servie through MyWorldPlus.com that has made using coupons worth the trouble. They have tons of restaurant coupon deals that save you boatloads of money. They have 2 for 1 pizzas and the same for fast foods. I hate saving coupons; but, when it's buy one and get one free, I'm all over it! The program costs $19.05 a month to be a member, but I saved that and more and got a check from them for $105 for telling 4 people about it. Dinner time is heating up at my house.

Google Kills the Golden Goose- the Evidence

This story will give 3 examples of how Google needs to be slapped down for their unfair practices. This case will be made clearly with screenshot photos, but the next paragraph is dedicated to the defense of Google on one controversial decision.

Many said that Google caved in on their original mission statement of doing no evil when they agreed with the Chinese government to censure their search engine in order to get the powers that be to accept their presense on China's Internet. I disagree wholeheartedly. It's better to be in that major country with limitations than allowing another competitor. So, I completely disagree with the critics on that one. I think that was just good business.

3 Creeping Evils at Google:

1. In the screenshot photo above, it shows that Yahoo.com still outranks Google.com, yet if you have downloaded the Google toolbar, then you can see that in the past few months, Google changed their algorithms to make Google.com have a page rank of 10 while Yahoo.com has a page rank of 9. At the beginning of the summer of 2007. Google ranked Yahoo higher as they should. Granted this is a small and debateable infraction, but as time goes on, my bet is that you'll see Google taking advantage of their position in the search engine wars.

2. Look at the screenshot below and you'll see that on many natural searches, Google has cheated and put their Google Local program above all the natural searches. Google controls this space. The space is supposed to be the organic space, but Google has grabbed not only the advertising space above the natural searches, but now they are manipulating and controlling that sacred space that consumers have entrusted them with. End of the world? No, but it's a sign of Google's drift towards being sneaky. Of course they will say that consumers want this.

I think consumers would prefer untainted searches.

3. One that jumped out at me the other day was their new Google checkout logo (see photo below) that dominates the search page with logo leaping off the page with brilliant colors while all the competition remains in monotonous blue. The whole page is blue, but Google takes advantage of others competitors by not allowing them to use logos or color on the Adsense ads. If Google was fighting for financial survival, I'd cut them slack, but their stock is fast approaching the $1000 per share mark. This is absolutely spitting in the face of the advertisers that have made Google what it is today. Google is killing their own advertisers and making up special rules for their own products. They are headed down the anti trust Microsoft path. These are subtle things granted, but they are clear indicators of the creeping corruption you'll be seeing more and more of if we don't speak out. Can you image Google letting PayPal have the only colored logo on a search page?

Why Hollywood Hates America- the Dirty Secret

It has frustrated many Americans as to why Hollywood's elite put out propaganda films that put Americans in a disgusting slant. They say to themselves, don't they understand their freedoms to say what they say was bought with the price of precious soldiers and yet they get to wallow in their millions yet get a big microphone to spit all over America like it's the cool thing to do. It's like street cred.

The reason they do it has little to do with their political beliefs and everything to do with their wallets. In many segments of movie sales statistics, foreign gross sales dominate domestic profits. For reference, check out the Reuter's "Hollywood, foreign movie theaters at odds on DVDs" article. One interested in this topic should, do some sniffing around on movie industry stats and they'll see why many directors and producers sell out America for money. Of course, some underlings like b-list actors and the like stand with the liberals because they are afraid that they won't get any work. If someone in the industry doesn't walk in lock step, then they get blacklisted. The power brokers will see to it that they'll "never work in this town again." The puppet masters will continue to repress independant and conservative film industry workers until the money runs out or they have their freedom to do what they want taken away. Then, they'll regret that they put the grease to the destruction of their own country.

Look at Sean Penn, Danny Glover, Harry Belafonte & Naomi Campbell kissing the butt of pending dictator Hugo Chavez. Even as he destroys a free press in his country of Venezuela, these fine American's are over there in worship of him. It's cool to be a communist dictator's friend. The Hollywood liberals talk free speech and free thought, but in reality, they'd do anything within their power to detroy the careers of anyone who thinks differently from them.

To illustrate this further, just look at the constant tactics of the far left when anyone conservative speaks their thoughts in public. They shout them down and disrupt any possibility for others to hear a different perspective. They preach tolerance and acceptance, but they are often the most violent and controlling of all movements. Their hypocracy is blatant, but they are so brainwashed and desperately want to be accepted by their peers that they cave in to independant thoughts. Code Pink is another example of this. They think that any disruption is justified. To most they appear like brainwashed puppets. They just chant whatever their leader tells them to.

Cindy Sheehan, anti-war protester was the darling of the far left until she expressed some of her true feelings, then they abandoned her when she no longer spouted out whatever they told her to say.

It's all about the money. For example, Hillary Clinton, didn't want to come out and criticize lobbying groups like MoveOn.org when they ran a full page ad calling General Petraus- General Betray Us, but she was so afraid to have the money cut off that she pooped all over one of the finest patriots in our country. Just follow the money in Hollywood and follow the money in politics. Hillary embraces the money part not for the money as much as she speculates that the money will buy her power. Hillary will sell military secrets if she thinks it will buy her the Presidency. Bill Clinton sold us out by granting tons of access to the Chinese many of which spent many a night in the Lincoln bedroom at the White House, under testimony the Chinaman said he had a list of favors that he expected Bill Clinton to provide for the donations. That's why Hillary Clinton set up all these illegals campaign contributions from dishwashers from Chinatown. All this money was funneling through them under the radar. The Hill-Billy's have a clear history of this pattern. The Hillary Clinton/ Norman Shu scandal is just case in point in a long history of under the table backroom deals for money and power. Hillary Clinton would sell out America if she could just sit her buttocks in the Oval office seat.

Hillary will do anything for power. Anything.

On one video, Hillary Clinton tells how she is able to do unscrupulous things, then be the Teflon woman. One of the secrets she reveals on the film is to never leave an e-mail trail.

The Hollywood elite and the far left politicians sell out America for a brief moment where they believe they'll have the 15 minutes of fame in the history of world. They believe like Moussalini, that it's "better to live one day as a lion, than a thousand as a lamb," so screw America.

Greenville Massage

I remember when I was a kid, it seemed my mother would talk to everyone while we were in public. It used to embarass me to no end. Funny thing, I turned out just like her. The other day I was in BB & T in Greenville, SC & while I was filling out my deposit slip at the kiosk, I overheard the tellers laughing with a customer and saying jokingly that she had done all her addition correctly....this time. I laughed to myself thinking of how I'd messed up with my additions on the fly a few times. I noticed the customer had a strong foreign accent.

As the customer was leaving, she passed by me and I asked where she was from. "Russia," she said and smiled.

"You know, I only know one word in Russian," I replied playfully.

"And what word is that?" she asked.

"Vodka."

We then continued a little more small talk and before she departed, she handed me her card and said "You should stop by sometime and see me," then she walked away. I wondered as I read her card if she was flirting with me or was she wanting to gain a new client as her card said: Anna Bowen- Greenville Massage. I figured either way, I couldn't lose.

A few days later, I called her. I was surprised to see that she had a unique setup on the ceiling of her studio. There were parallel bars hanging above the massage table. They were anchored to the walls and ceiling so they wouldn't budge. "What's that for?" I asked tenatively.

Brightest Flashlight in the World

Someone just told me about this Titanium Innovations L70 HID spotlight that blasts 7,000 lumens with it's 70 watt high intensity discharge bulb that sends a beam for miles. This mega flashlight has an adjustable beam which allows you to create pinpoint focus or have more peripheral light.

You also have to strengths to run at: 70 watts producing 7,000 lumens for 60 minutes or 35 watts producing 3,500 lumens for 115 minutes. Cost: $1,000.

XeRay/XeVision

This specatcular HID searchlight/flashlight came to my attention in 2009. The XeVision HID 50 watt equals or surpasses the performance of the Polarion for $1,000 less money. Currently, you can buy the 50 HID XeVision for $895. The have a 75 watt protype that puts out over 8,000 lumens and I haven't seen that kind of performance available anywhere else.

XeVision has two models available and possibly one new one on the horizon:

Accepted as the Brightest Flashlight in the World in 2008, the Polarion Helios PH50 screams with 5,200 lumens for $2,395. The rechargeable Lithium Ion battery will power this light under 200 feet of water for 1 hour. We have heard that this flashlight actually puts out a brighter light than the HB-1, but until I test it, I won't know for sure.

This flashlight is temporarily off the market in the PH50 with a 50 watt HID bulb. The 3,500 lumen is readily available. So, I have to give the "Brightest Consumer Flashlight in the World Prize" to the XeVision 50 watt HID at the top of the page.
